Making them better
Once when George Frederic Handel was complimented for the effect "Messiah" had on a particular audience, he replied, "I should be sorry if I only entertained them - I wish to make them better."
While few of us are destined to be grand composers, it does give us something to think about in regards to the "music" we do compose everyday.
