This is but a small taste. For a "complete" list, check out THIS page.

Amazingly enough, I note that in their list they make no mention of "Greek" and under "Romanian" and "Russian/Ukrainian" there are no listings for Orthodox. So, you can see clearly that it is not US who have an "ethnic problem" but THEM!

BTW, I have taken the liberty of emailing "ethnic harvest" to let them know that I can provide contact information for the local Orthodox Churches.

Also...do you suppose the absence of evangelical Greek churches might mean that evangelicals are not doing well with converting the Greeks? :)

OPA!

That's pretty mindblowing, even though it should have been obvious. Thanks.

This is not funny. This is sad. As long as it remains “us” and “them” then “we” remain “you” and “I” and not “we” in “christ”.

Yep, not funny...except that it is usually the Orthodox who get slapped with the accusation of ethnic problems. This was the point.

Ummm...David, lamenting the sin of our separation is inherent in Orthodox ecclesiology. The ECUSA's solution (e.g.) in their own ranks has been simply to find the absolute lowest common denominator of unity and run with it. Where does that leave them? The ecclesial equivalent of "don't ask, don't tell" in matters of...well...ummm...EVERYTHING!

We cannot pretend and put up facades. How can we claim not to be "us" and "them" when "us" and "them" believe different things, practice different practices, and don't see each other on sunday mornings?

And so, point of fact: we are "us" and "them" and to say otherwise is to become virtual agnostics. If we begin with THIS understanding then perhaps we can work on it...but to start with a false belief that unity can exist simply by saying so will yield nothing.

See the WCC and the NCC.

It is probably also instructive that I can pretty much guarantee we have more non-Serbs at St. Sava than there are non-Koreans at the Korean Baptist Church...
