With the conjunction of New Calender Theophany and Old Calender Christmas, it is a fabulous time to find some really great news photos of Orthodox celebrations around the world. Searching under News Photos using the term "Orthodox" at Yahoo News always seems to yield interesting results. The pic above is of Patriarch Pavle, the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church and I think he looks really bitchen (yeah baby the 80's!) and I wonder what he'd think of my thinking thus? Another gem is that of Mr. Putin below, crossing himself...a viable symbol of how things have certainly changed in Russia.
