"A reasonable expectation of privacy"

Well, here it is.

I am having a hard time understanding how someone using MY phone line has a reasonable expectation of ANYTHING.

my wife has been telling my daughter (currently age 8) that she will not have any privacy... "i will read your diary..." etc.
