"All Commonly Prescribe Medicines"

So says the law with regard to pharmacies and thus, WalMart must carrying the morning after pill. But this occurred to me as I awoke this morning:

Medicine:
1. An agent, such as a drug, used to treat disease or injury.
2. Something that serves as a remedy or corrective

And so we live in an age when pregnancy is a disease or injury that needs to be corrected, remedied.

This is one of my problems with artificial birth control in general - children are not diseases to be vaccinated against.

My insurance policy says that pregnancy is covered "like any other disease." It's listed as a "disease" elsewhere in the policy, as well.
