If you spent your anniversary...

...doing THIS and waiting for the NEXT kid to start puking, then you too might be celebrating 12 years of marital bliss with four screaming kids, a barking dog, two destrcutive cats, a host of fish in a dirty tank, a frozen rat eating corn snake named Cora, a stack of bills, and long about a million promised things to fix.

Just another day in Paradise, Susan, and there's no place that I'd rather be!

The kids screaming, phone ringing
Dog barking at the mailman bringing
That stack of bills - overdue
Good morning baby, how are you?
Got a half hour, quick shower
Take a drink of milk but the milk's gone sour
My funny face makes you laugh
Twist the top on and I put it back

There goes the washing machine
Baby, don't kick it.
I promise I'll fix it
Long about a million other things

Well, it's ok. It's so nice
It's just another day in paradise
Well, there's no place that I'd rather be
Well, it's two hearts
And one dream
I wouldn't trade it for anything
And I ask the lord every night
For just another day in paradise

Friday, you're late
Guess we'll never make our dinner date
At the restaurant you start to cry
Baby, we'll just improvise
Well, plan B looks like
Dominoes' pizza in the candle light
Then we'll tippy toe to our room
Make a little love that's overdue
But somebody had a bad dream
Mama and daddy
Can me and my teddy
Come in to sleep in between?

Yeah it's ok. It's so nice.
It's just another day in paradise.
Well, there's no place that
I'd rather be
Well, it's two hearts
And one dream
I wouldn't trade it for anything
And I ask the lord every night
For just another day in paradise

Well, it's ok. It's so nice.
It's just another day in paradise.
Well, there's no place that
I'd rather be
Two hearts
And one dream
I wouldn't trade it for anything
And I ask the lord every night
For just another day in paradise

Let me know if I can be of assistance with any building stuff. I can at least encourage. And, many, many years. We are May 15th or Myrrhbearers Sunday, whatever date that is. -- Bob K.
Many Years !!!!!
Loved the poem, BTW :-)

Thanks All!

Elizabeth...it's actually a song.
Shhh...it's sorta in the pop-country genre...don't tell anyone that I like that sort of thing, but dang gummit its the only popular music out there that dares to say...well, the sorta things that this one says.

I'm a simple man, I reckon. But till I hear Limp Bonchit, Sarah McBonchlin, Snoop Bonchy Bonch, Bonchy Spears, or Greenbonch sing a song that makes me feel good about being a dad (or somethin akin to such dreaded "family values"...well...count me uninterested.)

At our next LOG meeting, my Guitar is coming and we are gonna sing "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" and "Country Roads."

Happy Anniversary to our dear, dear friends. May God grant you many years. And by the way, does Cora eat frozen rats, or does Cora eat rats and is herself frozen? :-)

Love,
Liz & Steve and the gang
