What's Wrong with the World?

Once, The Times of the UK asked this question of several eminent authors of the time. One response took the form of a letter and was as follows:

Dear Sirs,

I am.

Sincerely yours,
G. K. Chesterton

EWTN has produced a terrific series on Chesterton called: G. K. Chesterton The Apostle of Common Sense and it is quite good. Some audio portions are available at the link above, otherwise check local listings to see when it is on EWTN.

Jeanie just posted this on the St. Elizabeth list...another wonderful, pithy quote:
"Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to that arrogant oligarchy who merely happen to be walking around." - Orthodoxy, 1908

If only ten percent of the people who read the horrid Left Behind novels would read, and perhaps understand Chesterton, there would be revival in our time.
