With or without cause?
Tranlsation problems I noticed last night:
Matthew 5:22
NIV:
But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.
NKJV:
But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.
Footnotes indicate that some manuscripts have "without cause" and some are....ummmm...without "without cause." It seems to me that there is a significant difference here. Sola Scriptura anyone?
