Baa Humbug!
To heretics!
Saw a guy preching on the so-called "word" channel last night and he was blabbing on and on about the power of faith and then he went on to enlighten us about Jesus saying that Jesus did not "cheat" while on earth, but rather operated as a man who used His faith just as we are able to do in order to work miracles. I really believe that much of "modern" Christianity (post or otherwise) has lost touch with the mystery AND understanding of the Incarnation.
Tonight Mother Mary nurses her Creator.

May the Incarnate God be with you on this nativity!

Merry Christmas!
Beware defrocked ROCOR priest Kenneth Bracey and abused wife Dena are still out there to abuse those who don't know them.
"Anonymous" I curse you for a spammer and a coward.
Your comment has nothign at all to do with brother James' post.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, James!

We all, faithless and perverse as we are, I think, have a natural tendency to think healing or raising a dead man is an act of the greatest power [I know I tend to think this way], but:
"'Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, "Your sins are forgiven you," or to say "Arise, take up your bed and walk"? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins' -- He said to the paralytic, 'I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.'"
Mark 2:8-11
Moses showed God's wonders to Pharoh, and the Prophets may have shown great signs and wonders in obedience to God, and the Apostles may have healed and done wonders in the name of Christ and the power of the Spirit, but none had the power to restore mankind in relationship to God. Ephesians 2:13-18.
Christ is born! Glorify Him!
To your statement above, I would add my most hearty agreement, and then restate my question: Really, what is the meaning of Christ's miracles? Isn't the fundamental point of the incarnation that wherever we are that God is there also? In a certain way, the implication is that no miracles are necessary because we need fear nothing nor seek escape. The one great miracle is that God is with us.
