Further talks of East/West Unity...likely to produce little.

Episcopal Priest thinks she can be a Muslim and Christian at the same time However: She believes the Trinity is an idea about God and cannot be taken literally. She does not believe Jesus and God are the same, but rather that God is more than Jesus. She believes Jesus is the son of God insofar as all humans are the children of God, and that Jesus is divine, just as all humans are divine — because God dwells in all humans. What makes Jesus unique, she believes, is that out of all humans, he most embodied being filled with God and identifying completely with God's will. NEWSFLASH, mam, YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN.

I'm thinking that the Dali Lama's hip image would be damaged were we to see pictures of him blowing a human thigh bone and drinking from a skull.

And you thought only the American Christian Religious Right does this sort of thing? Meanwhile, another religion protests in a different way.

And finally:

A Russian Orthodox priest conducts a service at the reburial of the remains of Red Army officer Alexei Bryantsev, killed during World War II, in the town of Gukovo, southern Russia

It's amazing isn't it. And, I'm embarassed to admit that I think that diocese is centered in my neck of the woods.

As was rightly pointed out by a friend. She thinks she is both, and really, she is neither.

Pathetique!
I was trying to figure out why an Orthodox Priest would be suddenly burying a red army officer that died in WW2, and found this article here:

So, it turns out there is a good reason.

It's all mad fun, isn't it? The best part is that being Anglicans, they're
incapable of *doing* anything, including nothing. If they say she's "wrong" it instantly brings up all the other wrong things they should address, and why aren't they? If they say nothing, they approve of it (most likely course). Any way you cut it they look stupid, and that's as it should be, as they are.

PS -- I bet the *ANGLICAN* congregation nearby St. Elizabeth's is most grateful to be officially under another bishop than the bewildered, dithering Warner.
